Life. What's life? Well the life here does not represent the lifestyle, or livelihood. It is a condition that distinguishes and separates between a living and dead organism on Earth. The life of human is so fragile .Human life itself dictates the core of all of a human, yet it operates on two button sized nostrils and a mouth to sustain, and the generally unseen air--the oxygen. A lack in either of these functions would imply difficulties in survival.
Of course, as human beings, we are not immortal. Even the longest human who had lived on Earth had not surpassed the mark of hundred and thirty years old (Well we do not include the bilical figures who were thought to live for a few centuries before returning to the soil).
Recently, a friend of mine told me that his girlfriend had been devastated. Her father had a relapse of cancer and is now battling his final stage. Cancerous cells had spread to his lungs, which was discovered after an abrupt faint.Just this week, an acquaintance of my brother was fatally knocked down in an area supposedly to be mishap-free. Life, is in a moment of seconds.
Life is full of unexpectedness. We had read and heard tragic stories, often than not that involved elements of shocks and disheartening. As we bend our heads down and pray or mourn for these people, we should really reflect on the life we are living, right now, right here.
One lesson that we learned, that is to treasure every minutes, every moments of our time. Treasure the time that you had with the people around you, for that is not going to be eternal. Forever is a only word created for space not time. Treasure your youth, if you still have any remaining. It is time for you to open your eyes bigger, for a wider perspective of life. Stretch your ears, listen carefully, to the lives around you. I hope we all can live our lives to the fullest.
=)
